Sunday Gatherings

As a community, our goal is to discover how the teachings of Jesus call us to reorient our lives so that we live more fully the way God has always intended, so that the people in this city can experience His love.

For the months of Augus and September Sean will be teaching on: “Looking at our Roots: Why we do what we do as a Church.” This week after the teaching time we will gather for a meal and to discuss the sermon.

Sunday Rhythms

On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month we have a traditional liturgical service . On On the 2nd and 4th Sundays we have a time of teaching followed by a shared meal during which we discuss the sermon in small groups around our table.

Little Eden Community Garden

*Little Eden Community Garden: Here’s your chance to get involved…

The Garden Planning Group would like more folks to join us in the garden in order to benefit from the vegetable produce and from the growth of new relationships. The crops from the garden will no longer be picked and laid out in a first come, first served style. Instead, crops will be harvested by those who have a chance to spend time caring for the garden. Garden group members will be signing up on a calendar on the newsboard (in the fellowship hall) to work in the garden 2-3 days a week. If you would like to join us, please talk to a Garden Group member, or sign up in a box on the calendar (ONLY if someone from the Garden Group has already sign up in that square; we don’t want folks working alone).

Father’s Day Potluck

We’ll be having a potluck on June 21st in celebration of Father’s Day. A sign up for the potluck will be available on June 7th. We will be having a picnic style celebration with hamburgers, hot-dogs and “Dad”s” root beer floats! Please contact Greg Chew (798-9464) for more information and be sure to sign up to bring something.

Collaborative Session

We will have our first community collaborative session on Saturday, May 16 from 9-11:30 a.m. Flood will also be having a community collaborative session the same day, in the evening. It would be great if our communities could serve each other by providing child care for the other. If anyone is available to provide childcare for Flood on 5/16 from 4-8 p.m., please email Janna: admin (at) saamchurch (dot) com.

Community Garden - Updated

Two garden workdays have been scheduled for April 18 and April 25. We’d love to have as many hands as possible!

Here are some needed tools for the day, please bring what you can:

Here’s the supplies we need:
- flat nosed shovels
- work gloves
- pick axes
- chainsaws
- large pruning shears
- posthole digger
- paint / sharpies for garden sign
- snacks & drinks ($5 toward pizza for lunch)
