Local & Global Outreach

As a community, we desire to connect the message of Christ to both our local and global communities, and we are in the process of discovering how we can go about doing that. More information to come.

An estimated 27 million people are enslaved across the world today; even here in Sacramento. Human trafficking not only is the third largest criminal activity in our world but also the third most profitable criminal industry. We all participate in slavery through the global economy in which we live. Your choices matter.

Project Keep it Flowing:

Keep it Flowing Ministry is committed to keeping life’s basic necessities flowing to the people who live on the streets of the Sacramento “North B” area. It was formed to respond to the needs of our homeless community by serving and sharing for the Kingdom of God. This effort is supported by members of our church and our network of family and friends.

We strive to go out at least once a quarter, with additional trips made during times of extreme weather and the holidays. Bottled water is always provided along with snacks and simple toiletry items (soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer). Depending on the season, we share items to keep warm (socks, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets) or other necessities. Our mission is to show these people that they are loved, they are valued, and we desire to connect with them.

Dinner in the Park:

As Part of our Seven series we got off campus and joined Flood in a sharing project related to poverty.

Our Dinner in the Park happened Sunday the 14th, at 3pm at Grant Park (21st and C). We had a great team from SAAM and Flood who worked on all the details. Thank you everyone who participated! It was a great time for all, we served around 60 people in need, had good conversations and provided for some physical needs as well. Here are some photos from our time:
